This course is an advanced-level C++ programming course and is a followup to the previous C++ courses "C++ for Beginners" and "Modern C++ Software Design (Intermediate)", also organized by Uni Siegen.

Caution: this is an in-person course, it is not possible to attend online.

The course is open to all employees and students of the Uni Siegen, as well as other universities in NRW if there are places left. It is provided free of charge, we only ask that you provide detailed constructive feedback at the end.

If you are not with Uni Siegen, you will be put on a waiting list. You will not receive a definite Yes/No answer before July 5.

Please note that this is a high-level course. Extensive previous experience with C++ programming is highly recommended.

The course will take place from July 19-22, from 9 AM to 5 PM on each day. The course will be held at the University of Siegen, in room AR-Z 008, see detailed info below. It will be held in English.

  • STL and concepts
  • Class design
  • Robustness
  • Dynamic polymorphism
  • Performant design for HPC (e.g. loop unrolling, SIMD)
